Survival of the Dead red band trailer online

GeorgeARomero.jpgThe good thing is that this trailer looks way better than the previous. However I still don't think it looks great, and there should be a lot more coming from a red band trailer that just isn't here.

Mind you George A. Romero has been making these films for some time now and his previous few haven't been the raging success we might want to have seen from the man who invented the zombie genre, then filmed it to death.

We've heard the story before, but it takes place after a zombie infestation and humanity is scrabbling for a way to survive. A small island, seemingly off the coast of Ireland, sees two families fighting against each other. One believes that the undead must be killed while the other believes that their loved ones must be kept, and looked after until a cure can be found.

Apparently what that brings is...

...an escalating showdown with echoes of a classic Western stand-off that erupts in brutality and violence.

Well judging from the trailers for Survival of the Dead I've watched so far I wouldn't describe it that way, however let's give this new trailer the benefit of the doubt, and when you do you can see it's much stronger, less comic, although the final scene leaves a lot to be desired.

Has George A. Romero, the father of the zombie film, delivered something to his former glory?
