The Possession of David O'Reilly trailer online

PossessionofDavidOReilly.jpgI've not heard anything about this film before now, and suddenly there's a rather cool looking trailer that, while it shows the lower budget, also shows some strong filming and a good sense of style.

Subtlety and the smallest things make a horror film, the Asian market have known that for some time and it marks a tangible difference between Asian horror films and their Hollywood remakes, but it's something that this trailer seems to deliver well, hints and brief glimpses are far scarier than seeing it all.

The story for The Possession of David O'Reilly is pretty simple, and the blurb is below, although I suspect there's a lot more to it than the write-up gives us, and that's not really a lot.

A supernatural shockumentary about a demonic presence in a young couple's home in London.

There's also the suggestion that this is based on actual events, but then what better to scare people with than a true story?

Here's the trailer for the British horror film that might just take place in a single flat. It stars Giles Alderson in the lead role, a face you may recognise and will surely click with when you see some of the work he's already done.

Looks like it could be above average. I'm not keen on too many jumps, plus it seems there is a lot of showing of the monsters. One to keep and eye on.

"Shockumentary" though? Surely that was dreamt up my marketing men during a brainstorming session..

I know, it;s like they love the sound of their own voices and perceived "cleverness".
