Knight and Day trailer online

KnightandDay.jpgThere's another new trailer online for Knight and Day, the quirky spy action film that seems to have equal amounts of thriller and comedy thrown in there too and stars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz as well as featuring Peter Sarsgaard and a few other recognisable names.

Directed by James Mangold and written by Patrick O'Neill, the film is looking great fun so far, and carries some bold action set pieces. This new trailer picks up some of everything we've seen so far and a few little extra bits. It makes Cruise's spy character seem a little darker and introduces the threat of a big twist.

I'm really looking forward to Knight and Day, and from the trailers I think there's much more promise than I first thought. This trailer to delivers a little more, and before I talk about why, have a look at the trailer for yourself.

I'm getting a little more from this trailer than I have done to date, perhaps because I've been caught up in the action and comedy aspects of the film, but here I'm feeling there's a bit more darkness and uncertainty about Cruise's character, and that's a tone I like.

Then, of course, there's the fact that James Mangold who directed Cop Land, Girl, Interrupted, Identity, Walk the Line (Filmstalker review) and 3:10 to Yuma. Now that's a strong list of films right there.
