The Losers: Superb extended trailer online

TheLosers.jpgThere's an absolutely superb trailer online for The Losers. Forget your one and a half minute trailers, this one's a stonking three minutes and twenty eight seconds long, and it's getting me going.

I'll tell you why, I loved the comic book series and I've been dying to see what the film would give us. The photos from the set looked great and were promising a look and feel very similar to the comics, and then when the trailer came I was amazed how close it felt. Now this extended trailer takes us further.

What I do like about this though is the deviation and the feeling that it's not a carbon copy of the comic books (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com). While that works for epic adaptations such as Watchmen (Filmstalker review), it doesn't really work for something like The Losers, and there's some work that needs to be done to bring it back to the real world a little.

Still, it's kept a lot of what it was and I'm loving some of the dynamics, and that's before I even mention the superb cast of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the leader Clay, Chris Evans as the technical wizard Jensen, Óscar Jaenada as the sniper Cougar, Columbus Short as pilot Pooch, Idris Elba as Rogue, and Holt McCallany as Wade. Oh and let's not forget the gorgeous Zoe Saldana as Aisha and the cool Jason Patric as the CIA agent who targeted them for death.

Come on, you have to love that don't you?
