Rio animated comedy trailer online
I had no idea what Rio was about until I saw this trailer, I didn't even realise that the makers of Ice Age were making an animated comedy about a rare macaw who appears to have been released, or escaped, from captivity into the wilds of the Brazilian rainforests and around the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The trailer looks all right, but it didn't really capture me when I watched it. I did look at how nice it looked, and it's obvious that it's going to be filmed in 3D, but then it's not meant to be rocket science is it?
It does look like fun that'll engage the kids, but whether it's going to be something that'll be as funny and enjoyable as Ice Age will be something we'll have to wait and see for, perhaps another trailer will help us decide.
Rio is a 3-D animation feature from the makers of the "Ice Age" films. Set in the magnificent city of Rio de Janeiro and the lush rainforest of Brazil, the comedy-adventure centers on Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind.
When Blu discovers there's another - and that she's a she - he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio. But it's far from love at first sight between the domesticated and flight-challenged Blu and the fiercely independent, high-flying female, Jewel.
Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life's many wonders. Rio brings together a menagerie of vivid characters, a heart-warming story, colorful backdrops, energizing Latin and contemporary music, and family-friendly song and dance
