Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel trailer

HughHefner.jpgThe documentary Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel sets to tell the mostly unrealised story of Hugh Hefner, not the Playboy image that we know so well, but the story of the man as an activist, fighting for the rights of people and often against the government.

The trailer has a great revealing quality to it, for I certainly didn't realise just who concerned and involved he was in these all important issues. I mean I realised that the magazine carried important articles along with the usual spreads, but some of what is hinted at here is much more than that.

This really works as a trailer, for after seeing this I am intrigued enough to seek out the film and try and find out more about the man and what goes on behind the public image.

Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel also carries with it a host of stars and famous people to talk about the man and his work, in the trailer we see Gene Simmons and Jesse Jackson, but there are other names from Tony Bennett to Tony Curtis, from George Lucas to Joan Baez, from Jenny McCarthy to Ruth Westheimer. There are indeed a lot of stars and covering a lot of views of his life, even the views that are negative towards him and Playboy.

Here's the trailer for the documentary, and it's perhaps one worth looking out for.
