Rob Reiner's Flipped trailer online

RobReiner.jpgYou know if you read the blurb for Flipped you are thinking of a cross between The Wonder Years and all those other young love television shows and films, but then there's something about the trailer that really captures you, and it's something that Rob Reiner is so good at.

He's pulled out the beauty in the little moments, gathered what looks like a wonderful cast, and captured some real moments from all our lives, and some real truths, and put them in a film.

For me that's what makes Rob Reiner films so great, there's the comedy, the excellent writing, the wonderful cast, but above all it's all about real things and real people, and you so easily identify with them without feeling overly twee.

That's what I get from this trailer, and I'm genuinely already captured by it.

Flipped stars Madeline Carroll, Callan McAuliffe, Rebecca De Mornay, Aidan Quinn, Penelope Ann Miller, Anthony Edwards and John Mahoney in the film adapted from the Wendelin Van Draanen novel by Andrew Scheinman and Rob Reiner, who also directs.

The film tells the story of two eighth graders who start to have feelings for each other despite being complete opposites. Juli has wanted to kiss Bryce since second grade, but he thinks that she's rather strange, and has done for such a long time. Then something happens and as they get older Juli realises that perhaps Bryce isn't all that he's cracked up to be, and that there's maybe not much substance behind the gorgeous outside layers, while Bryce realises just how interesting and wonderful Juli really is.

They've Flipped indeed.

Honestly you'll love the trailer. Here it is through First Showing:
