The Freebie trailer intrigues
The Freebie seems to tackle some very personal issues, are humans built for marriage, are we a monogamous creature? The film sees a married couple during a barren spell of sex in their marriage wondering if having a one night stand would bring it back to life again.
What looks like could happen after that is only hinted at in a couple of scenes, but I'm sure we can all guess it isn't going to be healthy or positive.
Here's the full blurb for The Freebie:
Darren and Annie have an enviable relationship built on love, trust and communication - they still enjoy one another's company and laugh at each other's jokes. Unfortunately, they can't remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with an idea for a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a "freebie" be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it?
The trailer comes from Yahoo Movies through Collider and looks rather good, but it's the natural element that has me interested, perhaps there was no writing to it and it's all been improvised, I'm not sure, I would like to find out more about it.
Here's the trailer for the film which, naturally, shows the man starting off the whole idea:
