New Priest trailer online

Priest.jpgA new trailer has arrived online for Priest, billed as the International trailer, it doesn't actually feel like one. Usually you find that the International trailers tend to focus more on the story and characters with the U.S. trailers going action, effects, set sequences and big faces.

This trailer has a lot more mystery and doesn't reveal so much about the past of the Priest, in fact I would say that they've done the opposite to the way I've just described it above.

As we know Scott Stewart has directed Paul Bettany, Karl Urban, Maggie Q, Cam Gigandet, Lily Collins, Stephen Moyer, Mädchen Amick, Christopher Plummer, Brad Dourif and Alan Dale, quite a cast indeed, in the futuristic tale of a battle between humanity and vampires, one that the humans believe that they've won.

Priests became warriors battling the vampires and their orders managed to defeat them using weapons and fighting, not words and symbols.

However the vampires have been living outside the walled fortress cities, living in the wastelands and breeding a new vampire to fight their war.

The niece of one of the few surviving priests from the last war has been kidnapped by vampires and he goes against the word of his order to chase them down, save her, and kill them all. With him go his niece’s boyfriend, a wasteland sheriff and a warrior priestess.

The trailers for Priest have been looking good fun so far, although some of the stunts have looked well over the top. Here's the latest trailer:
