Priest trailer online

Priest.jpgOne trailer today that I can write about and say I enjoyed, actually there are two good and two bad, however let's get back to Priest, the adaptation of the graphic novel starring Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Lily Collins, Stephen Moyer, Mädchen Amick, Christopher Plummer, Brad Dourif and Alan Dale.

The new trailer looks great, tells us much more of the world, the priests and shows a lot more of the effects and more importantly, the new breed of vampires. This looks like a cross between Blade and Batman and does look pretty good fun.

The story for Priest is set in a futuristic world which has been ravaged by centuries of war, not between humans but between humans and vampires. Humans are now living in walled cities and protected by warrior priests, ruled by the church.

One priest, seen as a relic from the last vampire war, has his niece kidnapped by a pack of vampires and he goes out after her, breaking his vows and embarking on a quest with his niece's boyfriend, a young wasteland sheriff, and a former warrior priestess.

On the way it seems that they discover the vampires have been building an army, a stronger, tougher breed of vampires, and are intent on taking the cities.

The trailer for Priest looks slick, filled with great effects and plenty of action. See what you think. Having seen Legion (Filmstalker review), also directed by Scott Charles Stewart, not that long ago, I'm expecting it will match up in effects and action.
