Paranormal Activity: Tokyo Night trailer online
I'm really interested to see how this Japanese sequel to Paranormal Activity (Filmstalker review) goes, and if it can address some of the issues that the first film had, so I was rather excited to watch the trailer.
The idea for Paranormal Activity: Tokyo Night is that a Japanese exchange student was visiting San Diego when the events of the first film occurred and for some reason she comes in contact with the demon from the first film after it's finished with the filming there. It leaps aboard the student and heads back to Japan, hopefully using its powers to get a first class ticket.
Interestingly the marketing is very, very similar. Did I say that it's identical. Except the Japanese audience look even more freaked out after watching Paranormal Activity (Filmstalker review).
However we do get to see plenty of the new film, and there are some interesting aspects to it, the female student is in a wheelchair, which makes the filming of everything seem a little more creepy to me, and not in a horror way but in a what is that guy doing kind of way.
There are also a lot of the tricks from the first film in there too, however it does look like they are trying to carve their own path at the same time. Have a look at the Paranormal Activity: Tokyo Night trailer through ShockTillYouDrop and see if it might appeal.
