I Am Number Four second trailer online

IAmNumberFour.jpgI Am Number Four is the next film from the director D.J. Caruso who directed Taking Lives, Disturbia, Eagle Eye and some of The Shield as well. The film tells the story of a small group of aliens who have crash landed on Earth and are hiding out amongst average, everyday teenagers. The reason they hide is that they are being hunted by another race of aliens who have already wiped out their planet, and slowly, one by one, they are being murdered.

There's a new trailer online for the film which looks rather dark and exciting. Although there are some of these typical teenage elements in here, it's also a good looking film and the trailer has plenty to intrigue.

Expanding on the idea it seems that the aliens have to be killed off one by one in sequence, and the alien that is the focus of this story, played by Alex Pettyfer, just happens to be number four.

At the same time as he's being hunted his powers are starting to show themselves and his helper and guide, played by Timothy Olyphant, is teaching him how to control them and guiding and protecting him.

Just to throw something else in the mix he's falling in love with a normal girl, well if gorgeous Glee singers can be normal, played by Dianna Agron, and Number Six, played by Teresa Palmer, has arrived to help him, and she's a pretty sexy looking young lady herself, except with glowing hands and all manner of strange powers.

I think I'm talking myself round to this one as I write!

The story comes from the novel by Pittacus Lore, a pseudonym for James Frey and Jobie Hughes (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com), and has been adapted by Marti Noxon, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar who were writers on Smallville.

The trailer for I Am Number Four looks pretty good and you can see it right here. This is surely better than the last and has a more adult feel to it, and I love the way we aren't getting to see the aliens that are hunting them properly, it does keep a strong sense of suspense going.
