Insidious trailer to scare?

Insidious.jpgThere's a trailer online for James Wan's Insidious. You'll know Wan from Saw, he came up with the story for and directed the film as well as the story for Saw III and Dead Silence. Oh and he also directed Death Sentance.

Now he has a new film that he directed called Insidious, and yes, it's a horror film, and it seems to use first person footage. However there are some huge positives - first person footage is only a small part, the film is not about a haunted house, the idea looks interesting, and it stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne and Barbara Hershey.

Now that's already more than expected isn't it? The cast is certainly interesting in itself, but when you see the trailer for Insidious you'll see what the interest really is. The film looks pretty exciting and there's plenty in there to suggest we're looking at something more than just your average horror film.

Here's the plot:

A family looks to prevent evil spirits from trapping their comatose child in a realm called The Further.

Now here's the trailer for Insidious which comes through Quiet Earth from Shock Till You Drop. See if it looks like something different to you:

How scary is this going to turn out to be?
