2011 Independent Spirit Award Winners
The Independent Spirit Awards have announced their winners for 2011, although actually it's for 2010 because that's when these films were released, so they are only billed as the 2011 awards so no one thinks they are watching last year's. However let's be clear, these are for last year's films, they can't award films of 2011...there haven't been enough yet!
Anyway, good news for Best Actress who is no surprise, however Best Actor certainly is considering the film. Winter's Bone does well against Black Swan, and The King's Speech is a foreign film while Exit Through the Gift Shop isn't.
