X Trailer and 18 only trailer online

X.jpgTwo trailers have arrived online for X, a film which I saw a trailer for a little while ago and decided not to post because it didn't look like the film that these two trailers are suggesting it is, by that I mean that these two trailers look a lot better.

The story is about two prostitutes, one about to end their career and one just starting, who work together for one night and one job. However the job goes terribly wrong and they find their lives in danger, racing for their lives through Sydney's underworld and trying to escape what could just kill them both.

Holly Rowe's retiring, kissing her callgirl life goodbye. She just has to get through her last night on the job. Shay Ryan's a teenage runaway, broke and alone. She just has to get through her first night as a hooker. Then fate throws them together on a job that goes horribly wrong and they're suddenly racing on an out-of-control roller coaster ride, through Sydney's criminal underworld. X is a sizzling thriller about love, chance, escape and the oldest profession experienced by two women on a night that will change their lives forever.

The film sounds like it could be good, visiting a world that a lot of us never do and seeing the lives of people we've never even touched, all wrapped up in an exciting thriller. That's certainly what the trailers suggest. X comes from writer and director Jon Hewitt, who is also known for his film Acolytes.

Let's start with the trailer for X that doesn't live up to its name and is safe for all to watch:

Now, here's the red band trailer, which does actually mean it's an eighteen only trailer as there's nudity and violence to be had, although to be fair, not that much. That's interesting, it suggests that there's a lot less shock and titillation to the film that you could at first think there would be, after all it's a film that focuses on two women in prostitution. Perhaps at the heart of it there's a pretty refreshing look at the characters and what they do.
