Cars 2 trailer screeches in

Cars2.jpgI started wondering where the Cars 2 trailer was going when we were being taken through offshore drilling platforms, I wondered if this was going to be an eco-friendly film trying to educate our kids to look to better solutions than refined oil, however it's not and that's a little bit of a shame I thought.

So onto the cute cars that consume petrol, don't leave fumes, and where oil leaks are a nice little joke.

The trailer for Cars 2 does look like a lot of fun, although this is less story and more just snippets from scenes, it still manages to entertain and provide a few nice moments for the loveable characters.

It is all a bit frantic though, and I struggled to keep pace and try and get the jokes flying past, although there aren't that many it really does feel like a string of scene snips. Still, it's looking good and the basic concept is in there.

Here's a quick blurb before we hit the trailer:

Star race car Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in "Cars 2" when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world's fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colorful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.

I still love the addition of Michael Caine as the English spy car, very cool, although Roger Moore would have been perfect.
