Midnight in Paris trailer online

MidnightinParis.jpgThe trailer for Midnight in Paris starts off well and hints at the beginnings of a story that could capture your imagination and deliver an interesting film, but it stops a little short of really selling the film.

It tells us that the story about a couple staying in Paris with their family who meet another couple, the woman is energised and intrigued by them, the man doesn't take to them and one night, when he's decided he can't take any more, he heads out on his own in Paris and discovers something that has him going back night after night.

The suggestion is that he discovers this magical little part of Paris and may well fall for the love of the city and perhaps for another woman, and do bear in mind that I'm surmising all this from a combination of the blurb and the trailer, neither of which give us the full story.

Of course I do struggle with the idea of someone falling for Marion Cotillard over Rachel McAdams, but then I can understand the falling for a foreign city and the hidden treasures it can offer, particularly some of the night time cities of Europe.

This is Woody Allen's latest film and stars a whole host of names with Rachel McAdams, Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Michael Sheen, Tom Hiddleston, Kathy Bates, Adrien Brody, Carla Bruni, and more.

Midnight in Paris carries a simple blurb:

A family, including a young couple, travels to Paris, France for business and have their lives transformed.

You can see the trailer here or over at Yahoo Movies where they'll have the usual Quicktime high definition link too.

Despite the trailer giving us the faintest whiff of the story, which I'm appreciative for as well as it won't give away too much, it does intrigue and romance just that little bit, plus Michael Sheen looks like he could have some fun with this role. Worth a visit? Can you tell yet?
