Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides new trailer online
The trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has arrived, and I have to admit that while it ticks all the boxes for me it's definitely lost some of the soul of the series. I wonder if that is down to the fact that they're changing all the cast or the trailer just hasn't clicked with me yet?
All the elements are there should you watch the trailer, but for me there's just a little something extra that isn't, something that would make it that extra bit special and deliver another excellent Pirates of the Caribbean adventure. The question is, am I just missing it?
The blurb for the film tells us something we all know, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides following on from the previous film as Jack Sparrow heads off to try and find the Fountain of Youth with his special compass, but as per usual he has to get his ship back first.
Luckily there's a bit more than that and the plot does promise some more excitement, as well as some new relationships.
When Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with the enigmatic Angelica, he's not sure if it's love -- or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the "Queen Anne's Revenge," the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past.
Talking of relationships the trailer does show us that there's going to be another love story to counter Sparrow's adventures and possibly forcing him to make a choice between his dreams and the course of love.

What do you think? Is it just me that's missing that special something from the first three films? Is Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides going to do just fine without Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley? Will Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow and his usual crew with the addition of Penélope Cruz and Ian McShane be enough to bring back the magic?
