24 film really is happening

24_Poster.jpgI can hardly believe it but the last time Keifer Sutherland was talking about the 24 film he said that it was coming out next year, and then we heard nothing. To be honest I was just thinking that this was going to be another of his wishful comments.

Not so, for now producer Brian Grazer is talking about the film and says that he's in on the job to release the film.

It looks like the 24 film is actually happening, well at least more than it was, for now it's not just Keifer Sutherland talking about the film it's Brian Grazer.

Speaking about the film Grazer told The Hollywood Reporter:

"Got off the phone Keifer yesterday and we are very excited about producing the 24 movie for next year"

That's definitely a "we", it's not even a "he", so Grazer is now in on the plan and he's talking about next year. Does this mean that we're going to see 24 start production, really?

I'm still struggling with how this will work. It's 24, real time episodes. What will the two hour film be? Another hard edged spy film?

Yet if they could pull off one film, they've suddenly got a franchise on their hands for Sutherland and Bauer.

Could it happen? Well now we have Sutherland and Grazer. I think it is.
