Silent Hill: Revelation 3D gains names

SilentHillRevelation3D.jpgCasting doesn't usually excite me too much, and if I have time I'll throw it into a stalked article, but now and again it surprises me and raises a point of interest, like the casting news for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.

We already knew that Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger are all returning to the cast, which is a good sign for the sequel and suggests that it's not going to be your usual cheap sequel attempt.

There's more news about casting, not only are Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger returning to the world in Silent Hill: Revelation 3D but they're going to be joined by Carrie-Anne Moss and Malcolm McDowell, and those are two pretty big names for the film.

The story from The Hollywood Reporter also delivers some of the plot, telling us that a young woman, played by Adelaide Clemens, is on the run with her father who has just gone missing, and all on the eve of her eighteenth birthday too.

She's also having nightmares that are haunting her more and more, and she's about to find out that she's not who she thought she was, and that's going to pull her into a demonic world of Silent Hill.

Sounds a good start. Then add to that we've got the fact that Michael J. Basset directing, the man who directed Deathwatch and Solomon Kane.

Come on now, you have to admit that this is sounding rather positive. Silent Hill wasn't a huge film and yet here it sounds as though they're pushing just as hard as with the first and then some. I'm feeling rather positive for the film now.
