Priest new trailer and opening sequence online
Not only has a new trailer arrived for Priest but if you capture the tag at the end of the trailer you'll get a really cool introduction to the film which is all animated, giving you the introduction to the world of Priest. It's also followed by some new footage, most of which you'll see in the new trailer.
Now word of warning, I've read that this is spoiler heavy, however I've seen nothing in there that would suggest to me it is. Perhaps it's just glimpses of moments that if you have seen the film or have more knowledge of it would reveal something, however I didn't notice.
The new trailer for Priest gives us more of the story and more action, and it looks like it will marry the two really well. Plus with Paul Bettany, Karl Urban, Maggie Q, Brad Dourif, Christopher Plummer, Cam Gigandet, Stephen Moyer, Alan Dale, Mädchen Amick and Scott Charles Stewart behind the camera I think we're in for a lot of action and some cool styling at the same time.
Oh, I think I might have figured out one of the potential spoilers that AITH pointed out when they carried the video from Yahoo Movies, but I think it might pass you by and if you do catch it, then it might not be that big a spoiler after all.
Here's the blurb for Priest, which again is in 3D, and since I found out I can't process 3D properly that just adds to my dislike of it. I'll be going to see it in 2D thanks.
PRIEST (in 3D) is set in an alternate world-one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece (Lily Collins of The Blind Side) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend (Twilight's Cam Gigandet), a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Nikita's Maggie Q) who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.

Now, if you catch the end of the trailer there's a tag there. I downloaded the Microsoft TagReader for my Android phone and just said "no" when it asked me if I wanted to tell Microsoft where my location was, nice to be asked to confirm things like that, and used it to scan the code.
For those of you who don't want to do that, here's the link to Sony Pictures that will take you to the opening sequence of the film.
It's odd that it's all animated, but then the original source story was a graphic novel itself, but it's just not what I was expecting. That said, it does set the film up well, and it is a good tease. Oh, and Maggie Q introduces.
