The Bleeder gains Watts, Schreiber and Hendricks...
There are a lot of boxing films coming, not just the ones about robots, but the ones about real boxers and real fights. This next one is called The Bleeder and tells the story of Chuck Wepner who was another fighter who knocked Muhammad Ali down but saw him get back up and turn the fight around to beat him on points, break his nose and knock him out. The film is set to star Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber and Christina Hendricks and sees documentary maker Jeff Feuerzeig step into the feature world. The story comes from Variety.

I, Alex Cross gains Jean Reno...
Well, Jean Reno has joined the new Alex Cross film that sees a new leading actor for the role of Cross, Tyler Perry. While Reno's role is being kept quiet Cross will be investigating a serial killer case with a detective played by Ed Burns, the serial killer they're after is played by Matthew Fox which is quite the departure for him. Variety has the I, Alex Cross story.

Hunger Games gains big names...
Deadline tells us that Woody Harrelson has joined The Hunger Games, the adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel where teenagers are grouped together for televised battles - Battle Royale?! - and Harrelson will play the trainer of one of the teenagers played by Jennifer Lawrence. The Hollywood Reporter told us that Stanley Tucci has also just signed up to the film that Wes Bentley, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks and Paula Malcolmson already set to star in.

Rachel Weisz in Bourne?...
Rachel Weisz is in talks to join the new Bourne film, The Bourne Legacy, alongside Jeremy Renner. This really is looking like an all star restart for the franchise. Tony Gilroy is directing the new Bourne which is starting to look good, even if the story idea is lacking imagination - another organisation just like the one that started Bourne is out there, harder and more secretive than the first. Deadline has the story.

Gotti film gets re-write and Pacino...
Gotti: Three Generations, the film about the true life relationship of crime bosses John Gotti junior and senior, already has John Travolta playing the senior role, Travolta's wife Kelly Preston playing his wife, Travolta's daughter Ella Bleu Travolta playing their daughter, Joe Pesci playing his associate, and unbelievably the pathetic excuse for an actress and role model Lindsay Lohan still set to play junior's wife. Now The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Al Pacino is joining to play another crime boss and associate to senior and that James Toback is on board to rewrite the script for Barry Levinson who is to direct. It's a very interesting cast list, and some great talent there. One to watch out for?

Baldwin leaves Rock of Ages...
After making the well informed choice to leave the Men in Black III film I thought the choice to join Rock of Ages was a good one, apparently not though as we hear that he's now out according to The Hollywood Reporter, but that still leaves a cast of Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Malin Akerman, Bryan Cranston, Mary J. Blige, Julianne Hough and newcomer Diego Boneta, and that's a pretty exciting list of names.
