U.S. trailer for The Ward looks bad
Oh dear, there's a new U.S. trailer for John Carpenter's The Ward and it doesn't look good at all. I'm pouring on a large amount of "in context" topping to this one just in case it's been badly edited, but just looking at it I'm concerned by a number of things and it doesn't look like it's going to be the return to the top that we were hoping for Carpenter.
Add to that the fact that there's a limited release for the film and it doesn't look good in America. Mind you, some of the world has seen it already with releases in various countries throughout the year and mixed reviews.
The Ward sees a troubled woman entering psychiatric treatment and being admitted to a hospital where she enters a ward that is being haunted by a supernatural presence - what am I telling you this for, if you haven't already seen it, it's all in the trailer.
That's the new trailer that features rubber creature effects and far too much of the unseen presence as well as some poorly acted moments. Doesn't look good, probably why it's a limited release and then onto video on demand, mind you Jared Harris and Amber Heard, as well as John Carpenter, surely there's good to be had in The Ward?
