Crow in court but getting a rewrite...
While the remake of the Crow is still being dragged through the courts, you can read more of that boring story about distribution rights on The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that the story itself is heading for a rewrite. The Hollywood Reporter again tell us that Alex Tse, writer of The Watchmen of which he should be very proud of, has been tasked to tackle the new Crow adaptation. This has been through so many different iterations, recently with Nick Cave writing the script and I suspect Tse will be doing a complete rewrite. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is still set to direct with Bradley Cooper playing the Crow.

Gibson ramping up career again?...
I damn well hope so anyway. Mel Gibson is, according to The Hollywood Reporter, starting to ramp up his career again. Although he's been without an agent for a while word is that he's being courted by a couple and there are a number of projects on the go. He's completed Adrian Grunberg's film How I Spent My Summer Vacation, he's looking to direct Randall Wallace's Love and Honour, and he's been offered a role in Brad Mirman 's Sleight of Hand, a heist film with Gerard Depardieu and Til Schweiger. He certainly looks like he's got plenty coming up, and the more he gets, the more he gets, and I'm glad that we're going to get the chance to see more of him in front of and behind the camera.

Brian Wilson biographical film...
A Brian Wilson film through the ups and downs of The Beach Boys star? Think back to 2006 when we were hearing that just such a thing was on the cards, but nothing came of it. Now we're hearding from The Hollywood Reporter that he's getting another crack at it. River Road Entertainment are making the film and announced that they have the rights to his life and that of his wife's Melinda Wilson. Oren Moverman is writing and he has The Messenger and I'm Not There to his credit. It looks like the Wilson biographical film is back on.

Snow White and the Huntsman gains big names...
Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones. Eddie Marsan and Stephen Graham are all in negotiations to join the Rupert Sanders directed film Snow White and the Huntsman which already has Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth attached according to The Hollywood Reporter. Now that's a great cast right there. Many of them will play the dwarves, named after Roman emperors, and the story sees a princess escape her evil stepmother and a huntsman who teaches her to fight back. Bizarre.

Salt sequel shaking up...
Apparently Kurt Wimmer has been hired to write a sequel to his Salt (Filmstalker review) script, and no surprise it was a pretty good action film and thriller, although it didn't exactly leave the door wide open. According to Deadline Angelina Jolie wants to return to the role if it's done just right, remember she held back until she saw the script for the first one.

Antione Fuqua directing Eminem in Southpaw?...
Antione Fuqua could be directing Eminem in a film called Southpaw according to L.A. Times through Latino Review. Eminem is already in the project but Fuqua has joined negotiations to direct. The best part is that it's written by the superb Kurt Sutter, think Sons of Anarchy and The Shield. Apparently it continues the 8 Mile story but is a boxing film about a left handed boxer fighting through tragedy. Same story but swap rapping for boxing?

Edward Zwick to direct American Assassin...
Edward Zwick is set to direct American Assassin, the adaptation of the novel by Vince Flynn that Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz wrote. The novel is the eleventh in the Mitch Rapp series about a college athlete who is recruited into the CIA and trained to be a lethal agent. The story from Latino Review isn't really that exciting if it wasn't co-written and directed by Zwick, think The Last Samurai and Blood Diamond.
