Fright Night international trailer online

FrightNight2011.jpgFright Night was receiving the big sell in the cinema I was in yesterday, four huge character posters and a pop-out standing banner outside the front door, and surprisingly the words 3D weren't visible anywhere as far as I can recall.

The character banners make the film feel a little more comic than the trailer does, so I wonder which way it will go. You'll remember the original did have a lot of comedy in it, but this trailer looks more frightening, even with an obligatory "3D Shot" in there.

The story for Fright Night is as we've seen it before, Charley Brewster and his friend "Evil" Ed Thompson discover that Charley's next door neighbour is in fact a vampire, a real one, and he's killing women right left and centre to stay alive.

When the neighbour realises that they are following him he turns the tables and threatens Charley's mother and girlfriend, and that's when Charley realises he has to fight back and find a way to defeat him.

Excuse the trailer having an advert at the start, that's Empire's trailer through ShockTillYouDrop. The good thing about it is that it features more of David Tennant and some previously unseen footage:

It's interesting how the film is dropping the 3D tag in the marketing over here, do you think the studio realise it's not such a hot draw as it used to be? Last night in Harry Potter the 2D screening was absolutely mobbed.

Fright Night also stars Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Toni Collette and Imogen Poots, an interesting line-up and I'm starting to get used to seeing Farrell as the vampire, will he pull the role off in the film and stand up to the original?
