New The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn trailer online

TintinSecretoftheUnicorn.jpgRoll out the big billboards, here comes The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn. There's a new trailer just arrived for the Steven Spielberg directed film in what is planned to be a trilogy with Peter Jackson sharing directorial duties. Written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish and, of course, Hergé, the famous comic book and cartoon character of Tintin is being brought to the big screen.

The film features a great cast of voices of Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, Daniel Craig, Cary Elwes, Toby Jones, Tony Curran, Mackenzie Crook, Sebastian Roché, Daniel Mays, Ron Bottitta, Phillip Rhys, and more.

That's a great list of names, but it's Steven Spielberg behind the camera that has me caught, and the fact that this is what motion capture should be for, the bringing to life of a comic, literally. That's exactly what looks like has happened in the trailers for The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn so far, and this latest is no different.

Twitch have the find of the new trailer and it looks great. If you've been disappointed about not seeing the characters, their style or the action in the film, this is the trailer for you. It looks great, the writing and characters are a lot of fun, and above all there's a sense of the characters throughout. They might just have nailed it.

I just wish it wasn't 3D. At least there'll be 2D screens to go and see it in.
