Prometheus plot reveals nothing

Prometheus.jpgWe're still uncertain what Ridley Scott's Prometheus is going to bring us, but we can be sure of one thing, it's by Ridley Scott, and that's really all the blurb that's been released online is giving us.

There was another blurb out there, but apparently it wasn't "accurate", or does that mean made up? Anyway the blurb says space, the poster says darkness, the cast say strong and the director says...not an Alien prequel.

We'll have to take their word for now, but the hints about Aliens and the connection to the original keep on coming, and with the original story apparently hinging around the huge alien we saw in the first Alien film, there's still the possibility that this is an Alien prequel, even if it does diverge off into something else.

Mind you since then we've been told the writers did diverge off somewhere else, so how different and far away are we going?

Here's the blurb for Prometheus through JoBlo, the official blurb.

"Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life's ultimate mystery."

Not really much to go on is it, but is it enough to get you through the door?

Definitely will get me through the door.
