Spielberg confirms new Jurrasic Park
We've heard discussion about a new Jurassic Park film on and off since the last one, but now it seems this discussion makes it official, after all the man doing the talking is Steven Spielberg, and he should know.
He revealed to the Comic-Con audience at San Diego that he's at work on a new Jurassic Park film. Yes, really, he is.
While Steven Spielberg was speaking about Tintin at the convention he was asked about another Jurassic Park, and he revealed that they're working on it right now. Here's what he had to say:
"We have a story. We have a writer working on the script, and I think we will see a 'Jurassic 4' in our foreseeable future, probably in the next two or three years."
That quote comes through Yahoo News and is pretty concrete, they're definitely working on a script, it would seem that Steven Spielberg is going to be producing it, and there's going to be Jurassic Park IV.
So what do you think about it? Are you looking forward to a new Jurassic Park film? More to the point what more could they do?
Personally I think the way they have to go now is a completely new island, perhaps someone picking up from where the last project left off, believing that this time they can make it work. After all what's left of the original islands and dinosaurs? Well, a lot if I remember, they're all still there. Aybe they're going to try and recapture them?
Whatever I think one thing will be clear, if Hollywood is in the same position regarding 3D that it is now we'll see the production bring the creatures to life in that format, after all it would make for a revitalised ride at least.
