The Amazing Spider-Man trailer bootlegged
The trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man has been filmed and leaked online, and while you can hardly see anything of it, you can tell that the tone for this Spider-Man is much more serious and darker bringing it closer to the new Batman than anything else.
The only odd part I found is that they don't seem to have toned down the costume, which doesn't really fit with a darker character, and the closing first person section - is this in 3D or are they making a videogame out of it...or both?
I do like the tone of the trailer, although the fade-in and outs seem to be completely random in their length - one second there's a long scene, the next we have two or three that barely fade in before they're fading out.
I'm not a fan of that practice, especially now Hollywood are making the scenes flip past faster and faster, I really don't understand it unless they are trying to hide something, and there are other ways to do that by selecting the clip carefully or not showing it at all, or they're trying to make it that camcorders can't auto-focus in time, something that is disproved here.
That aside, as soon as a trailer has been leaked like this the studio should leap on it and release the official one. That's the way to shut down the bootlegged trailers.
Here's the trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man, not great quality, but you'll get the feel. It comes from RuTube when I discovered it was online via JoBlo. As soon as I get the real version I'll post it for you.
