Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy trailer looks fantastic
The trailer for the film version of the classic Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy that starred the great Alec Guinness in the adaptation of the John le Carré novel has arrived, and it's not only looking great but it's sounding superb too, and just listen to Gary Oldman giving it a Guinness twang.
The cast is a huge attraction; Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Ciarán Hinds, Mark Strong, Tom Hardy, Benedict Cumberbatch, Stephen Graham and Simon McBurney make for an excellent British line-up of talent.
The new Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy follows the same plot as the previous Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, a retired agent from the British secret services is asked to return to investigate the top five men in the organisation as it seems that one of them is a mole planted by the Russians years ago.
The film is directed by Tomas Aldredson, the director of Let The Right One In (Filmstalker review), the original one if you don't realise from the title and his name, and carries quite the similar tone, dark, broody and orchestrated, and it looks fabulous.
I'm in, and so should you be. Here's the trailer through The Guardian exclusive, watch it.
