Killer Elite second trailer online

TheKillerElite.jpgThis new trailer for Killer Elite shows Robert De Niro joining in on the assassination action with Jason Statham, adds in a little sexy hanky panky for Jason Statham in the form of Yvonne Strahovski, and then plenty of the rivalry between Statham and Clive Owen, well their characters at least.

To add to all this positivity the film is set in the eighties, listen to that soundtrack and see the previous trailer for the appearance of a Ford Cortina action sequence. Yes, I'm totally in with this film.

Killer Elite is based on a true story, adapted from the Ranulph Fiennes novel. The film sees a retired SAS soldier returning to save his mentor who has been kidnapped. Between the soldier and his mentor are three assassins sent to kill him by the kidnapper.

The Jason Statham Clive Owen rivalry looks fantastic and the action sequences are going to be great, but not too over the top as you might expect from Statham in something like the Transporter series.

Here's the blurb from the last trailer to tell us more about Killer Elite:

"Based on a true story, Killer Elite races across the globe from Australia to Paris, London and the Middle East in the action-packed account of an ex-special ops agent (Jason Statham) who is lured out of retirement to rescue his mentor (Robert De Niro). To make the rescue, he must complete a near-impossible mission of killing three tough-as-nails assassins with a cunning leader (Clive Owen)."
