Texas Killing Fields trailer arrives
We haven't heard much about Texas Killing Fields since I found the Italian trailer online and then heard nothing more from it. Now we have an English language one and it looks rather good, offering the potential for a very good thriller which could well be heavily steeped in actual events.
It stars Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chloe Moretz, Jessica Chastain, Stephen Graham, Jason Clarke, Annabeth Gish and Sheryl Lee, so there's a good list of names there and both Worthington and Morgan are looking strong in the trailer as the two real life detectives who were investigating the killings.
Here's the blurb I had for the Italian trailer:
Inspired by true events, this tense and haunting thriller follows a local homicide detective (Sam Worthington) in a small Texan town and his partner, a transplanted cop from New York City (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as they track a sadistic serial killer dumping his victims' mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call "The Killing Fields."
The killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead. When a familiar local girl, Anne (Chloe Moretz) goes missing the detectives find themselves in a race against time to find the killer and save her life.
Quite the Mann family affair as Aran Mann, the sister of the director, is also the Production Designer. I wonder how Mann-ish the film is going to turn out. What I'm more interested in is how well the film is going to tell the true story.
