Bonnie and Clyde remake gains new actress
I'm surprised that the remake of Bonnie and Clyde is still going considering the alleged severance pay they have had to hand over to Hilary Duff because she got pregnant and they had to sack her since the film does not feature a pregnant lead and considering some of the film might not be conducive to an unborn child.
Anyway, that's behind them and they are still moving forward with the production. So much so that they now have a leading actress, although she's not big in features as the previously approached Amanda Seyfried, she does look like she would fit the part well.
The actress they have hired for the leading role is Lindsay Pulsipher. Who you might ask? Well if you have asked that very question then you haven't been watching True Blood have you? She's appeared in a number of television series and films, but the one she's most known for is in True Blood as the character Crystal Norris.
Crystal is the one that turns into a panther whenever she wants and captured Jason Stackhouse to have her wicked way with him again and again to try and get pregnant, although that didn't actually work very well.
She's now going to be Bonnie according to the New York Post who have the comment from the producer of the film Tonya S. Holly:
"We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Pulsipher as Bonnie Parker in The Story of Bonnie and Clyde...Lindsay will undoubtedly bring many layers to this critical role."
It is critical for they needed someone to sign up rather quickly to show that the production was moving ahead regardless. Not that cast changes aren't common early on in production, but the way that this has happened has been rather public and rather expensive already.
I wonder if Faye Dunaway will be happier with this choice? This does mean the remake is still going ahead, and last we heard Kevin Zegers was to play Clyde and Dee Wallace and Lee Majors would also play roles in the film. Lee Majors?
