Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows second trailer
A new trailer has arrived for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, the sequel to the original from director Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams and with added Noomi Rapace, Stephen Fry, Jared Harris, Eddie Marsan and more.
It's looking rather good and delivers strong, taking a number of high action sequences and shows some stylish directing as well as clever writing, in short more of the original and then some.
I'm really looking forward to Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, I have to say that Guy Ritchie surprised the hell out of me with the original and I really enjoyed it, one of the key wins for the film was the excellent casting not just the scripting, and together they gave a great film.
What I wonder is if the sequel can deliver stronger than the original, and I do believe it can, especially with the arrival in full of Moriarty.
Here's the blurb for the new Sherlock Holmes film, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows:
Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) has always been the smartest man in the room... until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large-Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris)-and not only is he Holmes' intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Eddie Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder-a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by Professor Moriarty. The cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead of Holmes as he spins a web of death and destruction-all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history.
