Silenced aka The Crucible (Do-ga-ni) trailer
Here's an interesting film that is based on a true and harrowing story of a community who seems intent on hiding the horrible abuses that are happening at a local school for the disabled, and how one man tries to expose what is going on there in order to stop it, however even the local police and prosecutors don't want the story revealed to the rest of the world.
The trailer is tough enough, but from what I've heard the film itself can be even more harrowing to watch, but at the same time the comments for the film are hugely positive.
Here's the official blurb for the Korean film which is going by the title of Silenced and The Crucible, I think that Silenced is going to be the official English release title.
Gang In-ho, who is working to earn money for his daughter's surgery, is appointed to a school for hearing-impaired children in Gwangju. But what he discovers there is an ugly truth: the children are being physically and sexually abused by their teachers. When he decides to fight for the children's rights and expose the crimes being committed at the school, In-ho teams up with human rights activist Seo Yu-jin. But he and Yu-jin soon realize the school's principal and teachers, and even the police, prosecutors and churches in the community are actually trying to cover up the truth.
So far it only appears to have been released in South Korea on the 22nd of September, but this English subtitled trailer would suggest that there's something more on the horizon for it, even if it is just a DVD release.
The trailer is definitely worth watching, and since it is a true story, it's one that should be seen and taken heed of.
