New UK Contraband trailer delivers too much?

Contraband.jpgDoes the new trailer for the Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale tell us too much of the story? I'm not entirely sure but it does lay it all out, I'm hoping that most of this happens early on for looking at it I'm sure I have a large amount of Wahlberg's character Chris Farraday's story has already been told, leaving a simple revenge, save my family action thriller.

Of course from what we've heard this does have more to offer and the cast also includes Giovanni Ribisi, Ben Foster, J.K. Simmons and Lukas Haas, and comes from Baltasar Kormákur who produced and acted in the original Reykjavik-Rotterdam.

There's a great cast and a really strong story behind the original, so will the Hollywood version deliver something similar? Well there are connections to the original but will they hold strong when it comes to the story side or is it just going to end up being an action version.

I'm not sure, but what this trailer does is tell us that there is a solid story, I just hope it hasn't revealed that it all happens really quickly to get to the more simplistic action story of rescue the family from the bad guys.

Here's the Contraband trailer from MSN UK through First Showing:
