Safe House trailer impresses
I missed this trailer for Safe House last week and I can't believe I did because it looks like a superb action thriller that puts Denzel Washington in a great role, playing a bad guy, or at least a morally questionable guy.
The trailer is filled with action and sets the story up well for the characters played by Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington in this film from director Daniel Espinosa. It's definitely one to keep an eye on.
Here's a bit of the story to give you the idea before we see the trailer for Safe House:
Denzel Washington plays a renegade agent from the CIA who comes back onto the grid after a decade on the run and selling American secrets and agents to the highest bidder. When the CIA safe house he's remanded to is attacked by mercenaries, a rookie operative played by Ryan Reynolds who is bored with his desk job is thrown right into the middle of the action. At first he has to protect the rogue agent, and then escape taking with him the prisoner, but soon he's forced to partner up with the rogue agent and fight for both their lives.
The film isn't all about the Safe House, that's just where it starts and sets up the story, getting our green non-field agent in contact with the hugely experienced CIA agent and bring their worlds closer together.
It looks like a great action film, and Denzel Washington seems as though he's playing a very cool character, just look at some of the scenes where he's interacting with Ryan Reynolds. Do you think this partnership might work out well? I think it has cracking potential.
