2011 British Independent Film Award winners announced
The 2011 British Independent Film Award winners were announced last night and not only do I have the list of winners for you but there are also a few interviews with some of the big winners themselves.
There's a great selection of films in the BIFA list of winners this year, great to see Tyrannosaur doing so well and there's a wide range of films getting recognition in this year's awards. You have to say it's been a pretty good year for British talent.
So here is the BIFA nominee list, with the winners highlighted, something the BIFA site should check out themselves as they say they've highlighted the winners in red and right now the only red text are the emails for the press contacts and the websites for the key companies behind the awards!

I did think perhaps we might see more mention of Ralph Fiennes' Corolianus in there, but then there is a wide range of winners and no one is walking away with awards, although it is a good thing. I'm glad Paddy Considine's Tyrannosaur got a good deal of recognition in there.
Some of the categories are really hard to choose between this year, but I think they've done chosen well, what do you think?
The BBC have a few words from some of the winners, Considine, Michael Fassbender, and a rather lost for words Fiennes.
