Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance trailer looks much better

GhostRiderSpiritofVengeance.jpgHow much better does Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance look than the original Ghost Rider? Well you can see for yourself with the release of the new trailer, and I'd say this sequel from Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor of Crank (Filmstalker review) fame is back and hitting hard.

Oh, and you'll notice that joining Nicolas Cage are Idris Elba, Ciarán Hinds and none other than Christopher Lambert.

The trailer for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance looks good fun with the effects bigger, darker and feeling far more tangible and less comic, plus the character of Ghost Rider looks darker in more than the obvious way.

What I also like is the comedy aspect isn't as strong and as silly, the lines are in with the story and the characters, they aren't stopping the story for a blatant, in your face comedy sketch, or that's what it seems like at least.

Here's the blurb for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance which sees Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor directing a script that comes from David S. Goyer, Seth Hoffman and Scott M. Gimple.

Former stuntman and bounty hunter of rogue demons Johnny Blaze has been living in self-imposed exile, believing that his powers are a curse. But when he is approached by a member of a monastic order who is looking for someone to protect a mother and her son, who are being pursued by the devil in the figure of a man named Roarke, the Ghost Rider takes the case.

This trailer, which you can see at Yahoo Movies here through TrailerAddict, doesn't look half as daft as the last one does it?
