Rock of Ages trailer

RockofAges.jpgI haven't seen the musical, I wasn't that interested in the idea of a film version of the Rock of Ages stage show, but now I've seen this trailer I am totally sold and I'll be buying tickets from day one. Okay the soundtrack had something to do with that, but the energy and excitement in some of these performances is what has me, as well as that of Tom Cruise playing the rock star.

Okay, there is a great cast in there Alec Baldwin, Tom Cruise, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Malin Ackerman, Mary J. Blige, Bryan Cranston, Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Russell Brand, and more, although I would have loved to see the leads of many of the bands somewhere in the film, this line-up looks great.

The trailer for Rock of Ages looks superb as well, particularly Catherine Zeta-Jones role who really does look like she's giving it her all once again, and Tom Cruise who looks like he could play that role as the rock symbol so easily.

This film could be a blast, although I think you have to love your rock music to really appreciate it, and considering the list of bands whose songs are in the film, I'm not going to be disappointed.

Here's the blurb for the film:

"Rock of Ages" tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Their rock 'n' roll romance is told through the heart-pounding hits of Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake, and more.

Now here's the trailer from Apple Trailers through TrailerAddict. I think it's great and Rock of Ages is on my must see list for next year, a list I need to share with you all:
