Bridget Jones' Diary III gains director...
The next Bridget Jones' Diary film is set to get the director of The Full Monty according to Deadline through First Showing replacing the once in line Paul Feig. The new name is Peter Cattaneo, who is in talks to take the role. The author of the novels, Helen Fielding, co-wrote the script with Feig and David Nicholls, but there's no real idea of what it will produce. So far we've heard rumours of a pregnancy and the guessing of which of the two loves could be the father, however is there really a desire to see a third? Really?

Les Misérables cast expands...
Tom Hooper's big screen version of Les Misérables has already been lining up a great cast, including names such as Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter and Eddie Redmayne, and now there's word of a shortlist for two of the leading female roles, Eponine and Cosette, with NY Post through First Showing saying that Lea Michele, Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood are amongst the names being considered. It's certainly lining up to be a hugely cast film, now will the musical sell on the big screen?

Three new Mad Max films?...
Mad Max: Fury Road has been delayed for a long time, and there was always talk of a sequel to it, but George Miller has revealed that he has plans for three films and script written. However, considering how long it has taken to get this film made and if it doesn't recoup a good amount of money early enough for the studio, we're never going to see a second never mind a third. The story comes through the Australian Financial Review and First Showing.

Oujia is alive...
It seemed that the idea of bringing the board game Oujia to life as a film was pretty much dead as the marketplace started realising that maybe making films about board games with no plot was perhaps not such a good idea. However The Hollywood Reporter tells us that the gorgeous Marti Noxon who has just written the Fright Night remake is about to tackle the script. The key here is that Hasbro themselves are financing the development of the film because no one else is keen to.

Radcliffe as Ginsberg...
Daniel Radcliffe is continuing to show a huge range of diversity in his career, and so far looks like he could be the actor to profit the most from Harry Potter as he is now set to star as Allen Ginsberg in the film from writer and director John Krokidas called Kill Your Darlings. The film sees Radcliffe playing the beat poet character in an as yet unknown story according to Twitch.

Tony Scott's Narco Sub...
David Guggenheim's script for Narco Sub looks set to land with director Tony Scott according to Deadline. The film follows a story line based around the drug cartel's use of semi-submersible crafts that they use to smuggle drugs into America. Sounds interesting, but the Scott brothers are stowed out with projects just now so there's no idea where this is on the list.

Jolie plans Afghanistan film...
Angelina Jolie talked to CBS through The Playlist and First Showing, and revealed that she would like to direct a film about Afghanistan and the war there. The film would no doubt touch on her UN humanitarian work and tell a story of the impact on the people there; hopefully it would include some history in there too. Details are light, but then it was just mentioned briefly in an interview.
