The Raven's International trailer
A new trailer for The Raven has arrived, and it's cut faster and has more bite than the first. This is the film from directed James McTeigue and writers Ben Livingston and Hannah Shakespeare that sees Edgar Allan Poe tracing down a serial killer during the final days of his life.
While the real story of Poe's final days are rather the mystery, this is a fictionalised account around that time and stars John Cusack as Poe alongside Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Pam Ferris.
The concept of the film is a good one, and there is a great mystery that surrounds the final days of Edgar Allan Poe, but the hook is the fictionalised story, the film events that have Poe chasing down a serial killer that here he's threatening to kill himself.
Here's the blurb for The Raven:
The Raven is a fictionalized account of the final days of gothic writer Edgar Allan Poe as he tracks a serial killer whose crimes mirror works by the famous author.
