Detachment trailer, Brody back on form?

Detachment.jpgDetachment comes from the director of American History X, Tony Kaye, and stars Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Lucy Liu, James Caan, Tim Blake Nelson, Marcia Gay Harden, Blythe Danner, however when I first heard about it the first thing I saw was Adrian Brody, and that concerned me as his track record isn't exactly glowing.

However this latest trailer and the comments coming from the film suggest something rather interesting and very welcome, Brody looks like he's back.

Yes the film has a great cast, but the lead of Adrian Brody had me thinking of a list of films in his past career that aren't that great, and looking back for good films we're hitting 2008, 2006 and The Pianist is back in 2002. So it's good to see that he's picking his films wisely and he's getting some strong roles.

There's a great cast to support him too, and the trailer does look interesting even if it doesn't really scrape the surface of the film.

Here's the blurb:

A chronicle of three weeks in the lives of several high school teachers and students as seen through the eyes of a substitute teacher, who never stays anywhere long enough to form a bond with students or colleagues.

Now let's see the trailer for Detachment which comes through Quiet Earth.
