Iron Sky gets new trailer and Berlin Film Festival screening
Iron Sky is complete and a new trailer has arrived to celebrate the first screening in the Berlin International Film Festival on the 11th of February, and there's definitely some excitement about the screening, after all we're talking about Nazis building a secret base on the dark side of the moon and creating a giant army ready to invade Earth.
The effects look great and there's something about the whole silly idea that is both funny and exciting, you just have to see the trailer to see how much effort and quality has been put into some of the effects.
It's great news that Iron Sky is finally finished and the new trailer delivers some great scenes, although it could have done with a better voice over, you know I do a great voice over man impression and I'm very cheap. Even if he isn't as good as me, the line he comes out with is rather funny:
"Mother****ing Space Nazi's in a film called Iron Sky"
Here's the official blurb for Iron Sky:
Towards the end of World War II the staff of SS officer Hans Kammler made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity. From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late '45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right. Now it's 2018, the Nazi invasion is on its way and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom.
Seriously who wouldn't want to see a film like that? Well there's the chance that it could be really cheap and terribly corny, well the trailer certainly suggests the effects and style are well above the horrible film you might be expecting, and the previous trailers have certainly promised more.
