Two Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter trailers

AbrahamLincolnVampireHunter.jpgOkay colour me surprised, the teaser trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter looks damned impressive and as it turns out it's probably a film I could actually watch and enjoy.

To be honest I didn't start thinking like that, I mean the title suggests a film that is definitely for a genre audience, but the trailer certainly makes me think differently of it.

This film may not be as daft as the title Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter would suggest and as the trailer opens with the Johnny Cash song and the cinematic action begins, it starts to look like there's something more on offer here.

The blurb for the film goes like this:

President Lincoln's mother is killed by a supernatural creature, fueling his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers. A cross between D.W. Griffith's Abraham Lincoln & F. W. Murnau's Nosferatu.

The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov, so there's little surprise that it looks so good, have you seen the Russian Watch films? It's adapted from the Seth Grahame-Smith novel by himself and Simon Kinberg, so again you can expect a strong action feel to the film, and unsurprisingly it's being released in 3D.

Here's the trailer which comes through Time and First Showing:

Great music, great action, could Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter actually be a hit?

Hold up though, that's not the only trailer, another one has come out just the day after and this one has more action but more importantly some speaking. It offers a little more of the insane story, and again, it looks good. Here's the second trailer which comes through Twitch:
