Frankenweenie trailer

Frankenweenie.jpgFrankenstein with a boy and a dog is the quick description of the Frankenweenie and the trailer backs that up, but it does look like it could be a lot of fun especially with the little references to the original story - watch for that nice Bride of Frankenstein moment.

It is a Tim Burton short story, script and film so there's going to be a lot more to it than the blurb suggests, this isn't just going to be a retelling of the Frankenstein tale with a boy and a dog and some nice references.

Here's the blurb for Frankenweenie:

After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life-with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.

Now here's that trailer through TrailerAddict:

That comes off as a huge surprise for me. Its been a while since I saw the original short but I remember I liked it a lot.

Here's to hoping this is gonna be Tim Burton coming back to form!

I'm hoping the same too, one good thing is that he's not automatically cast his two favourite actors...or at least not that I know of!

Rumack: Captain, how soon can you land?
Captain Oveur: I can't tell.
Rumack: You can tell me. I'm a doctor.
Captain Oveur: No. I mean I'm just not sure.
Rumack: Well, can't you take a guess?
Captain Oveur: Well, not for another two hours.
