Update: New trailer for excellent thriller Headhunters
A new trailer has arrived for the adaptation of Jo Nesbø's novel Headhunters, and this one has a nice quirkiness to it that also runs through the film itself. I was lucky enough to see the film at the Glasgow Film Festival and I have to tell you that it's a damned good thriller.
The film is adapted from the Jo Nesbø novel of the same name and the film version is not only a great thriller but has a great streak of humour in it that doesn't affect the thriller aspect at all.
Aksel Hennie and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the two leads in the film, are fantastic and Synnøve Macody Lund does a great job as well as looking amazing. She's not the only part of the film that looks great either, the whole thing does. It's well shot and lit and does look great on the big screen and Lars Gudmestad and Ulf Ryberg have done a great job of adapting the novel for Morten Tyldum to direct.
It's more than worth your time going to see when it arrives in the UK on the 6th of April that is if you haven't seen it across its worldwide run that has been ongoing since last year. So far though there's no American release which, since it is such a good film, probably means it's heading for a remake.
Here's a blurb for the film again:
Headhunters stars the talented Aksel Hennie (Max Manus) as Roger, a charming scoundrel and Norway's most accomplished headhunter. Roger is living a life of luxury well beyond his means, and stealing art to subsidize his expensive lifestyle. When his beautiful gallery owner wife introduces him to a former mercenary in the possession of an extremely valuable painting, he decides to risk it all to get his hands on it, and in doing so discovers something which makes him a hunted man.
Now here's the new trailer that comes through TrailerAddict:
