[REC] 3: Génesis no language trailer hits

REC3Genesis.jpgA lot of people seem to be calling this the English language trailer, but when no one says anything in it I'd prefer to call it the no language trailer for [REC] 3: Génesis, unsurprisingly the third in the [REC] series and the penultimate one.

This sees a wedding party not too far from the sealed building where the original outbreak has occurred taken over by the strange virus and havoc ensuing as the bride and groom decide to fight back to make it their day. It's really a story of how strong true love can be through adversity...that and killing hordes of flesh eating creatures.

Actually the [REC] series has been very good so far, the first film presented a very cool take on the first person footage and set against the sealed building with people struggling to survive while the authorities shoot anyone who emerges from the building it had a tense and interesting take on the survival story.

The second film, [REC] 2 (Filmstalker review), looked like it could just deliver more of the same, but far from it the story added an interesting twist and a fresh feel to the entire story making it just as watchable as the first, [REC].

So there's a lot of anticipation for the third film, [REC] 3: Génesis, which was originally billed as a prequel but is now said to bring the first two films together as the "infection has left the building". From the blurbs I've read it also suggests that there will be another clever twist in this film that will tie together what we've seen, explain more of the story, and deliver the way for the final film of the franchise, [REC] 4: Apocalypse.

It all sounds good, although this new trailer through Empire and First Showing is a little in your face with the scares, I'm hoping for much more from the film itself. Here it is:
