Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter trailer gore filled trailer

AbrahamLincolnVampireHunter.jpgA new trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter has appeared online and it looks rather dramatic, filled with loads of CG and it flies by extremely fast and I had to watch it twice. It's good though, it does looks great.

I like the fact that we're finally getting some story for it as well. Oh yes, and it's a little gory, even if it is the comic blood of fantasy creatures.

I do love the way that the story is going to mix up history and fantasy, I remember first seeing that idea in Dark Skies the television series and loving the idea, so it could really work well here for me. I think my only concerns are how much they play up to the 3D.

There's a great cast behind the Timur Bekmambetov directed film, oh yes, do remember that the man who directed the stylish Night Watch (Filmstalker review), Day Watch (Filmstalker review) and Wanted (Filmstalker review) is in charge of this film, and that should be a strong reason to go and see it. However let's not forget that cast - Rufus Sewell, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Alan Tudyk and Benjamin Walker as the hat wearing man himself.

The blurb for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is pretty simple, before Lincoln was President he fought against a race of vampires who were rising up and wanted to quash the humans and rule their own nation, sounds a little like the Civil War but against vampires doesn't it? Lincoln is trained to kill these creatures and kill them well and he becomes ye olde Blade.

Here's the trailer which comes from IGN through TrailerAddict:
