Skyfall trailer arrives
Well there's been a lot of excitement about it but it hasn't hit as hard as I had hoped with the first teaser trailer for the new Bond film Skyfall.
I do like the style, some of the shots do give rise to questions about what this could all be about, and it does have some great Bond-esque moments in it, but I think I really need to see a full trailer to be drawn into Skyfall.
So far we know that MI6 is under attack and it's all to do with M and 007 is heading out to counter attack, let's do it to them before they do it to us kind of thing. There are a few great moments to watch in the teaser too, there's something about the determined way he's firing his gun as he strides across the hall not breaking step. Then there's his one liner of course.
I like the psychological assessment we see at the beginning, perhaps checking that he's fit for duty to return to MI6 before the new adventure begins, or perhaps trying to find out if he might be implicated in the plot to destroy MI6. At this point who knows?
It does look like there's a high cost to pay though as those coffins could well be the agents before our beloved 007.
Here's the blurb for Skyfall:
Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Now here's the teaser trailer for Sam Mendes' take on the new Bond through TrailerAddict which contains some great shots:
Well? Did it hit the mark? I'm not quite sure it did, but I'll wait for the full trailer first.
